Nine COVID-19 deaths on Thursday

Health Services Director General Dr. Asela Gunawardena yesterday confirmed that nine COVID-19 related deaths were reported on Thursday while the number of COVID-19 positive cases for yesterday was 162.

The Health Ministry requests the public to obtain the second booster dose soon in order to protect themselves from the virus.

Chief Epidemiologist Dr. Samitha Ginige on Thursday said that no incident of allergic reaction or deaths have been reported from those who received a second booster so far.
