The 21 year old former National under 19 Skipper Nipun Dhananjaya made a fluent knock of 92 in 130 balls with 4 fours unfortunately missed his third first class century while opener Lahiru Udara 63 in 133 balls with 3 fours and all rounder Sahan Arachchige stroked a valuable 61 in 124 balls with three fours also added fighting 124 runs sixth wicket stand to build up the innings.
The 33 year old right arm paceman Scott Boland who played his first game in this series and his fast bowling partner Mark Steketee shared 4 wickets each taking bowling honours for visiting Australia ‘A’ team. Aaron Hardie the 23 year old right arm paceman also took 1 for 27 while all nine wickets shared by Australian pacemen on day one, yesterday.
