No confidence against entire Government – NPP

NPP MP Vijitha Herath said in Parliament yesterday that this No-Confidence Motion is not only against Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella but  against the entire Government. The MP also stated that even if the Government wins this No-Confidence Motion, it does not indicate that there is no health crisis in this country.

The MP said that even though the Government is trying to say that there is no health crisis, the Government is discounting the health of the country, However, the Health Minister alone is not responsible for it and said that this is a breach of confidence against the Government’s own health policies.

The MP said that the people have a serious doubt that the health system is being destroyed on purpose. If people stop going to the Government hospitals, the Government will have the opportunity to implement the privatisation process according to the IMF agenda. If the Health Minister is defeated by a No-Confidence Motion, someone from the Opposition will be waiting to take that position.
