Northern Warriors seal Army T20 League Title

Northern Warriors led by Seekkuge Prasanna emerged champions of the Army Commander’s Cup T20 League Cricket Tournament when they defeated Western Warriors by 64 runs in the final played at Dombagoda on Friday.

Shehan Fernando was adjudged Man-of-the-Final for his fighting unbeaten knock of 39 in 35 balls while Western Warriors opener Upul Tharanga, who was the only centurion, was named Best Batsman of the Tournament.

In addition, Prasanna, who finished as the highest wicket-taker (13), was named Best Bowler of the Tournament as well as Player-of-the Tournament.

Meanwhile, Gihan Kolarage of Western Warriors was named Best Fielder of the Tournament.
