NPP has no idea how to run a country – SJB

The comments made by the top economist of the National People’s Power (NPP) Sunil Handunhetti that a future JVP/NPP government will not honour Sri Lanka’s USD 12 billion International Sovereign Bonds (ISB) debt shows that the NPP has no idea how to run a country, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP and Economist Dr. Harsha De Silva said.

Taking to Twitter, Harsha De Silva said NPP‘s chief economic adviser Prof.Anil Jayantha earlier insinuated that a future NPP government will not honour Sri Lanka’s US$ 12 billion ISB debt and it has now been repeated clearly by its top economist Sunil Handunhetti.

“That a future JVP/NPP Government will not honour Sri Lanka’s USD 12b ISB debt; first insinuated by their chief economic adviser Prof.Anil Jayantha at Ceylon Chamber and now repeated clearly by their top economist Sunil Handunhetti goes to show that these guys have absolutely no idea how to run a country,” MP Harsha de Silva tweeted.
