NPP like frogs in the well -SJB

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Tissa Attanayake said that the National People’s Power members are like frogs in the well. He was responding to a statement made by former JVP MP Sunil Handunnetti who had said that  if the Rupee appreciates against the US dollar, Sri Lanka will be bombed by the United States.

Attanayake was speaking at a programme organized by the SJB in Kekirawa on Saturday.“What is important at this point of time is strengthening the Rupee”, he said. Parliamentarian Attanayake said that there is no point in forcing the adoption of the resolutions of the Parliament by saying that the Rupee should be strengthened.

He added that there are four ways to strengthen the economy. “They are, expanding export trade and increasing foreign remittances, promotion of the tourism industry and the preparation of a programme for the flow of money to the country.
