NPP will not maintain former Presidents, wives with public funds – Lalkantha

National People’s Power (NPP) Member K. D. Lalkantha said former President Chandrika Bandaranaike and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa’s mother Hema Premadasa

will not be maintained by a future NPP government. He said that they are currently being maintained by the government with public funds. He was speaking at a NPP political rally in Kandy.

He also said that former President Maithripala Sirisena too will be treated in the same manner under a future NPP government.

He said that the people of this country voted for these politicians for 75 years thinking that the country would be built and added that instead of developing the country they committed fraud, corruption and theft and now the people are rallying round the NPP because the people want a genuine change.
