Nurse injects drug to kill himself

Chilaw Police say that a 34-year-old male nurse who was working in the Nephrology unit of Chilaw Hospital had died after injecting himself with a drug.

Police believe he had committed suicide due to a family dispute. It is said that the wife of the deceased also works as a nurse in Chilaw General Hospital.

An internal investigation has been initiated regarding the death of the nurse.The post-mortem examination is to be done at Chilaw General Hospital.
