Skipper Rahul Gunasekara had a fine figures of 5 for 46 as Nugegoda SC made an upset win over Chilaw Marians CC by 102 runs in their Major Clubs limited over cricket tournament fixture played at Surrey grounds Maggona yesterday.

Nugegoda SC scores 274 all out in 49.3 overs while Romesh Buddhika top scored with 75 in 99 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes while experienced T.M Sampath added 49.

Chilaw Marians CC chasing a target of 275 were managed to get 172 all out in 33.5 overs and off spinner Rahul Gunasekara did the damage claiming 5 for 46 in his8.5 over spell.

Meanwhile at NCC grounds the game between Ragama CC and CCC ended with a no result due to bad weather. Nuwan Thushara the slinger type actioned pace bowler who sold for 48million Indian rupees for Mumbai Indians (highest by Sri Lanka player) at IPL auction on Tuesday bowled well yesterday taking 4 for 35 for CCC against Ragama CC at NCC grounds.
