NVQSL 3 and 4 Level exams in Israel to evaluate skills of SL Caregivers held
The NVQ 3 and 4 Level Test which evaluates the skills of Sri Lankan Care-Givers in Israel started on July 23, 2024.
Written and Aptitude Test for NVQ Levels 3 and 4 in collaboration with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Israel, the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA) and the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).
Ten senior officials of NAITA and TVEC arrived in Israel from Sri Lanka for this evaluation. 306 Sri Lankan Caregivers both male and female were registered for the assessment and written test from July 23, 2024. This is the first time that this programme is being held in a foreign country outside Sri Lanka and the first pilot project conducted by NAITA, TVEC and Embassy of Sri Lanka to test care-giving sector skills.
After the first project in Israel, many other countries have requested to conduct the NVQ level certification written and Aptitude Tests for the hotel and construction sectors, said NAITA’s Chairman, Ruchika Amarasekara. Air tickets, accommodation, per diem for officials, transport facility, etc. for the visiting delegation organised by individual applicants’ contribution for this entire programme.
Necessary provisions had been made. Nearly 8 million Rupees contributed by individual applicants for the above collective programme.
Sri Lanka Ambassador to Israel, Nimal Bandara, officials of the Embassy, officials of NAITA, and TVEC and the members of the Sri Lankan community in Haifa city, Israel participated in the opening ceremony.
