One dead, another critical in Bastian Mawatha shooting

A person was killed and another seriously injured in a shooting incident that took place at Bastian Mawatha, Colombo yesterday.
According to Police, the assailants had arrived on a motorbike and carried out the shooting. The assailants had fled the scene thereafter.
The two victims were admitted to the Colombo National Hospital and the 30-year-old victim was pronounced dead while the 27-year-old victim is reportedly in a serious condition.
The deceased has been identified as a resident of Anuradhapura and they had arrived in Colombo today to appear in a case regarding the obtaining of salary compensation.
