One of world’s largest container ships calls over at ECT

One of the largest container vessels in the world, EVER ACE called on the Colombo Port East Container Terminal yesterday.

The vessel discharged 903 containers and loaded 342 containers during the ship’s stay at ECT terminal in Colombo. It had sailed from Rotterdam Fort to Colombo and then sailed to Malaysia, China, Taipei and to Singapore.

Owned by Evergreen Shipping Company the vessel is 400 meters in length and can carry 25,000 containers at a weight of 23,557 tons at a time.
