Oneroad Group DMCC- Dubai, investment delegation explores opportunities in Sri Lanka

A 12 member delegation from Oneroad Group DMCC Dubai, a leading consortium specializing in global investments, concluded a successful visit to Sri Lanka from July 7-14, 2024.

The delegation led by Chenling Zhang – Group CEO of Oneroad Group focused on sectors crucial to Si Lanka’s economic development. including tourism, minerals, transportation and the Colombo Port City project, The delegation was accompanied by Ambassador Udaya Indrarathna, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the United Arab Emirates.

During the visit, the delegatiorn held productive meetings with several key dignitaries, including President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Ali Sabry, Minister of Foreign Aftairs, Ramesh Pathirana- Minister of Industries, Kanchana Wijesekara, Minister of Power and Energy, Mahinda Amaraweera, Minister of Agriculture and Plantation, Harin Fernando- Minister of Tourism & Lands, Tharaka Balasuriya – State Minister of Foreign Affairs and Dilum Amunugama -State Minister of Investment promotion.

The discussions underscored a mutual commitment to fostering cooperation and exploring avenues for sustainable economic growth. Furthermore, the delegation engaged with key figures from both the public and private sectors including Chairman of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, Port City Colombo, CEO of Akbar Tea and Deputy Chairman LOLC Holdings PLC a leading conglomerate in Sri Lanka, Eshana De Silva- leading Sri Lankan entrepreneur and Members of the Chamber of Mineral Exporters. The discussions provided valuable insights into the investment climate and potential collaborative opportunities.
