Only the NPP is capable of responsible politics to safeguard nation –AKD

Only the National People’s Power (NPP) could make politics that will be responsible to and for the public, said the Leader of the NPP Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Speaking at a meeting of retired armed forces personnel held at Maligawatte P.D. Sirisena Stadium, he emphasised the dedication of army personnel in protecting the Constitution, even at great personal sacrifice.

He said “As army personnel, you sacrificed your own lives to protect the Constitution. Despite the difficulties you never stopped obeying that oath. That oath that you protected with such sacrifice is being broken by rulers whenever possible.

Chandrika Bandaranaike was found guilty of giving State land to her friends. Mahinda Rajapaksa was found guilty by the Supreme Court of wrecking the country’s economy. Maithripala Sirisena was also found guilty by the Supreme Court of so many things including political coups, dissolving parliament, failure to prevent and turning a blind eye on the Easter Sunday attack, absolving the Royal Park girl’s murderer using presidential powers” amongst many other deeds.
