Opposition Leader has not grasped meaning of wealth take over – NPP

National People’s Power (NPP) Executive Committee member K. D. Lal Kantha on Wednesday said that Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa cannot grasp the true meaning of the slogan “Return the stolen wealth”.

“He cannot understand the true meaning of our slogan.This is why the Opposition Leader is saying that a NPP government is taking over the properties of the people”, Lal Kantha said.

Addressing a public rally in Matale on Wednesday, former MP Lal Kantha said Matale is an area where there were heavy fights against the imperialists.

“There are elements with the SJB who were aiding and abetting the all forms of vices including fraud and killings. There are elements within SJB who promoted this culture”, he said.

Lal Kantha said that people have themselves created an atmoshpere that no such person can come into power in the future.

“Those who are appearing for such corrupt elements will never come to power,”, he said.
