Opposition Members who voted for Budget in for upbraiding

Political parties affiliated to the SJB have been verbally instructed to take action against their members who voted in favour of the Budget, SJB Member of Parliament Tissa Attanayake said.

Affiliated parties have been informed that they have to inform the SJB about the action they are taking, he said.

Attanayake said from the SJB, only Parliamentarian Diana Gamage had voted in favour of the Budget and that legal action had already been taken against her.

Attanayake also said that those who supported the Budget would be rejected by the people.

He said this when queried about what action would be taken against several Members of Parliament from parties allied to the SJB who voted in favour of the Budget.
