Opposition will help provide alarms at unsafe rail crossings – Sajith

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa told Parliament yesterday (8) that the United People’s Force is ready to provide support for the implementation of the project of installing an emergency signal system for the unsafe railways in order to secure the lives of the citizens.

The Opposition Leader said this after Transport and Highways and Mass Media Minister Dr.Bandula Gunawardhana said that although it is necessary to install a warning system at the unsafe railway gates, the government cannot allocate money for it at the moment. The Opposition Leader said here that the estimate prepared for the implementation of the project should be provided until the Cabinet approves the project and he is ready to support it immediately.
