Over 100 Chinese in Norochcholai get COVID-19

A group of Chinese workers, 102 in number, who are engaged in repairing the generator in the Phase two of the Norochcholai Power Plant, has contracted COVID-19. 

However, they are not in contact with other Chinese or local workers of the Norochcholai Power Plant, Additional Medical Officer of Health Dharmsiri Madumal said.

The infected workers have been provided separate food and transport. They are now under quarantine.

He said other Chinese or local workers attached to the Power Plant have not been tested positive for COVID-19.
