Over 620 Quarantine Curfew violators arrested

Police have arrested 626 persons for violating the Quarantine Curfew in the last 24 hours ending at 6.00 am yesterday (27). So far, 59,621 persons have been arrested for violating the quarantine laws, according to the Police Headquarters.

A total of 515 persons in 307 vehicles and 580 persons in 302 vehicles entered the Western Province during the last 24 hours ending at 6.00 am yesterday (27). Police said that the operation to arrest those who do not comply with the quarantine rules will be intensified in the coming days.
