Over Rs. 1.3 Mn goods theft at Hyde Park mall; two employees arrested

Kompannaweediya Police arrested two employees of a super mall located at Hyde Park Corner in Colombo on Tuesday (15), for the theft of goods worth over Rs.1.3 million.

Police said that these two employees are residents of Gampola and Gonawala. The police say that both of them are staying in a boarding house and the stolen dry food items and other items were foundin that boarding house. Investigations have revealed that the theft of these items has been going on for some time. The police say that these two employees have stolen the items between the July 10 and August 14. The manager of this super mall has complained to the police in this regard.
