Over Rs. 34 Mn worth “Kush” seized

Ten parcels containing 3kg 475 grams of “Kush” worth Rs.34.75 million were seized by  officers of the Central Postal Exchange Division of Sri Lanka Customs last week.

The parcels were sent to addresses in the Boralesgamuwa, Wellawatta, Minuwangoda, Walisara, Nuwara Eliya and Thalangamama areas from the United States and Canada. As the owners of the packages did not come forward to collect the parcels, they were inspected by the Customs officials in the presence of Police Narcotics Bureau and Postal Department officials on May 16. The parcels containing “Kush” drug were handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations.
