Paceman Chameera credits Vaas for success

Dushmantha Chameera said that Sri Lanka’s Bowling Coach Chaminda Vaas had played a major role in his success with the national team in the recent past.

Chameera praised the former Sri Lankan left-arm seamer for his guidance and tips following an economical spell of bowling in the first T20 International against India on Sunday.

“Vaas has always provided guidance to all fast bowlers in the team. I think his experience is very vital for all of us. He has given us some good lessons on how to bowl line and length and to gain wickets,” Chameera said.

“We had to bowl with variations like slow balls, Yorkers to restrict India and that was very important for my success,” Chameera added.
