Pakistan records fifth win to enter semis
Pakistan continued their winning form with an unbeaten record when they beat Scotland by 72 runs in the T20 super 12 fixture played at Sharjah Stadium yesterday.
Scotland chasing their target of 190 runs were 117 for six wickets in 20 overs. Richie Berrington was the only Scotland successful batter scoring an unbeaten 54 in 37 balls struck four boundaries and a six while leg spinner Sadab Khan finished with 2 for 14 .
Earlier Pakistan skipper Babar Azam hit his fourth fifty in this series to get good start. He scored 67 runs in 47 balls struck five fours and three sixes to build up the innings. He also became the highest scorer so far with 264 runs including four fifties to his credit. Meanwhile Pakistan’s two most experienced batters Shoaib Malik – who made his international debut in 1999 and Mohammad Hafeez in 2003 – had put on a show at the Sharjah Stadium.
