Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif congratulates President on NPP’s resounding victory

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif yesterday congratulated President Anura Kumara Dissanayake over the NPP’s resounding victory at the Parliamentary Election which was held on Thursday. “This is a testament to the confidence and trust that the people of Sri Lanka have reposed in his vision and leadership”, the Pakistani Prime Minister said in a post on X.

He said that Pakistan remains committed to further expanding its close and longstanding relations with Sri Lanka, which are based on mutual respect, shared values and a long history of cooperation.

President Anura Kumara while thanking Pakistan PM had replied that his government will continue to work with Pakistan to further strengthen the close and longstanding ties between our two Nations for the betterment of both our peoples.
