Palamunai Hikma Vidyalaya’s Nifran excels in long jump event

M.H.M.Nifran, a student of Palamunai Hikma Vidyalaya, won the first place in the boys under -18, long jump (6.58M) event and awarded Gold medal and certificate in the Eastern Province Inter School Athletic Competition -2023 conducted by the Eastern Province Education Department at the Leelaratne grounds, Kantale recently.

Students from Eastern Province Schools including Ampara, Batticaloa and Trincomlee Districts competed in several events at the five-day event where Eastern Province Education Department Director A.Canagasooriyam presided over.

Palamunai Hikma Vidyalaya Principal A.L.M.Faiz extended his congratulations to the student Nifran and his Coach and Physical Education Teacher A.H.M. Thabarani and Sports Coach M.M.Sajin. Student M.H.M. Nibran is a talented younger sportsman who has won dozens of certificates, medals, cups and trophies for sports events at Divisional, Zonal, District and Provincial Levels.
