Party Leaders, protesters fail to meet in Parliament

Both the political party leader’s meeting and party leaders meeting with those engaged in the struggle scheduled to be held yesterday (12) morning were not held due to unavoidable reasons.

The part leaders meeting was slated to be held with the participation of the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister has informed at the party leaders meeting held Monday that this special party leaders meeting will be held to inform about the economic situation.

The discussion with those engaged in the struggle was scheduled to be held at 2.30 pm yesterday and Parliament had even released the list of names of 25 persons participating from the side of those engaged in the struggle.

Necessary notifications had even been made to the relevant parties including the Parliament Security Division to hold the meeting.

Both these meetings were scheduled after the Parliamentary Affairs Committee meeting held last Sunday.
