Pastor defrauding money held

Officers of the Vavuniya Special Crime Investigation Division arrested a pastor of a prayer centre who was involved in defrauding money promising to offer jobs in Canada.

A 54-year-old pastor who runs a prayer center in Sri Ramapuram, Vavuniya has been arrested in relation to a complaint regarding cheating Rs. 1,270,000 from a person stating that he would be sent for a job in Canada.

In the investigation, it has been revealed that this pastor has cheated many other people and obtained money in the same way.
