Pathum Kerner remanded till August 4

Social media activist Pathum Kerner who was arrested in connection with the recent violent incidents during a protest at Polduwa Junction, was remanded till August 4 after being produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

 The order was issued by Colombo Additional Magistrate Harshana Kekunawela.

The Additional Magistrate ordered that the suspect to be produced for an identifiation parade on that day.

Pathum Kerner was arrested on Thursday (28) after he was surrendered to the Colombo Crimes Division.

President’s Counsel Rienzie Arsacularathne appearing on behalf of the suspect pleaded his client be released on bail.

The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) has arrested social media activist Pathum Kerner in connection with the violent incidents during a protest at Polduwa Junction near Parliament on July 13.
