Pay O/L evaluation teachers like A/L counterparts – CTU

Ceylon Teachers’ Union (CTU) Chairman Priyantha Fernando said that the 2,000 rupees allowance paid to the teachers who evaluate the Advanced Level answer sheets, should also be given to the teachers who evaluate the Ordinary Level question papers.

He said this on Thursday afternoon (24) after a teachers’ protest, who take part in Ordinary Level Paper marking activities, held in front of Anuradhapura Swarnapali Girls’ College.

Most of the teachers involved in the answer sheet evaluation process at both main evaluating centres of the O/L examination in Anuradhapura district participated in the protest.
