PC arrested after assault at musical show

The Mawathagama Police arrested a Police Constable working in the Kurunegala Division Criminal Investigation Bureau

Monday (13) for assaulting a person at a musical show held in Mawathagama.

The PC went to see the music show in Mawathagama town after reporting his day duty break on November 4. That is where the assault is said to have taken place.

The person who was attacked had complained about it to Police. Accordingly, investigations have been conducted and this Police Constable has been arrested. This officer was released on Police bail on Monday. The complaint has been referred to the Conciliation Board.
