PC who went to NPP meeting interdicted

Kaluvanchikudi Assistant Superintendent of Police has interdicted a police constable attached to the Vellavali Police Station who was involved in anti-government protest organized by the National People’s Power (NPP).

The ASP stated that this constable had left the police station without recording the exit on the evening of March 26 and joined the protest.

He participated in the demonstration held at Gonagolla junction in Bandaraduwa police division in civilian clothing wearing a protective headgear so that he could not be identified.
