Planned effort to insult Buddhism by ‘Aragalaya’ forces – MP

Expressing his views regarding recent incidents of insulting Buddhism, MP Prof. Channa Jayasumana yesterday said it appears  some forces who were behind the ‘Aragalaya’ were behind such efforts.

Speaking to the media he said some western elements who funded the ‘Aragalaya’ too could be behind such efforts. ‘Although these people insult Buddhism, they do not insult other religions. Because they know that if they do so they will be definitely punished one way or the other”.

The MP said that people who insult religion should be dealt in accordance with the law.
