PM Dr.Harini Amarasuriya assumes duties as Health Minister

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya assumed duties as Minister of Health at the Ministry of Health on Tuesday (24) evening.

Dr.Amarasuriya was sworn in as Sri Lanka’s 16th Prime Minister by newly-elected President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

After assuming duties as the new Health Minister, Dr Harini pledged to fulfill the wishes of both patients as well as the health workforce of the country as per the policies of the new government.
