Podi Lassi’s close associate nabbed

Police Special Task Force officers arrested a close associate of ‘Podi Lassi’, a major drug dealer and underworld criminal currently in remand at the maximum security Boossa Prison.

Investigations have revealed that this close associate has also worked as a shooter in Podi Lassi’s gang.

DIG Varuna Jayasundara said that he was in jail for three murders and an attempted murder. He was caught by Special Task Force officers with 760 milligrams of heroin during a raid near Eriyagahadola Junction, Batapola, Kirimadangana.

The 31-year-old suspect has been handed over to the Batapola Police for further investigation.
