Two suspects arrested yesterday over the recent killing of a millionaire businessman in Panadura said the murder was done on a contract of Rs. 2.5 million.
A senior police officer said that it is alleged that the contract was given to the shooter by a man said to be a close associate of the millionaire businessman.
The Kalutara Crime Division states that the shooter and the person riding the motorcycle involved in the shooting to death of a millionaire businessman in Panadura was arrested yesterday with a firearm.
The police say that the suspects involved in the murder of the businessman from Kadawatha Kirillawala are 34 and 40 years old. The victim, Anuradha Sampath Kudagoda (57) who owns several wine stores and other businesses in the Kadawatha area was shot dead on February 28.
