Police nab suspect with a stock of fuel ready for illegal sale

The Wanathavilluwa Police arrested a suspect with 200 litres of kerosene oil, petrol and diesel made ready for sale illegally. The Police said that the errant traders sell fuel at exorbitant prices and earn their living in this manner. The Police warned such people are selling substandard fuel and request the public to get fuel from authorized filling stations only.

The Police said that the suspect was 19- years-old and had collected petrol by sending his friends to queues with their motorbikes.

However, investigations are in progress to find out as to how he collected the diesel and kerosene oil. The suspect was to be produced before the Puttlam Magistrate.
