Police probe cattle theft

Uhana Police received a complaint of a theft of cattle worth Rs. 3.5 million from the Gonagala Colony on Thurday. Police said that this theft had taken place on April 1,

when the cattle were been kept at a temporary shed at Gonagala Colony. Police said that there were 80 heads of cattle in this barn and the theft had taken place by forcibly opening the barn doors at night. The owner of the cows had subsequently located 55 heads of cattle over the last few days. He had made a complaint to the Police that 25 heads of cattle are still missing.
