The Anti-Corruption Task Force, Panadura, Walana has raided a brothel in a two-storey building in Colpetty and arrested five people, including two Thai women.
Police said that among the other suspects were a young woman, the Manager, and the ex-army officer who runs this prostitution racket.
The Police also said that a Sri Lankan woman had brought her seven-year-old daughter to the place when the raid was taken place.
The raid was carried out with a search warrant from the Fort Magistrate’s Court on the information by the Task Force.
A Sergeant who was disguised as an agent and another Constable was employed as a signalman carried out the raid. The Sergent has bought a woman for Rs.10,000 and entered a room.
The two Thai women did not even have passports, the Police said.
Police investigations have revealed that the arrested 24-year-old Sri Lankan woman owns properties worth around Rs. 10 million and also owns three luxury cars and a three-storey house under construction in Piliyandala.
