Police still to arrest suspects in Katugastota Big Match clash

Police investigations are continuing in order to arrest the suspects involved in the brutal assault of a player of the Sri Rahula College, Katugastota Cricket team after the end of their Big Match with Sumangala College, Kandy at the Asgiriya Grounds. 

After the match, when the Rahula players boarded the bus to return to school, a clash had broken out between two groups of former students. At that time, some of the people involved in the clash had attacked the student who had played in the cricket match. The student who was seriously injured was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Kandy National Hospital for treatment. The injured student who had scored half a century in the Big Match is an Advanced Level student.
