Pottuvil Rock Challengers SC cricket champions

Pottuvil Rock Challengers Sports Club team emerged champions in the final and bagged the ‘Al-Izzath Champion Trophy -2023’ and Power Boys Sports Club, Pottuvil team emerged runner-up at the limited 8 overs flood-lit cricket tournament conducted by the Pottuvil Al-Izzath Sports Club played at the Kalappukaddu Play Grounds in Pottuvil recently.

The tournament saw record number of leading cricket teams from the area participated. The final match was played between the Rock Challengers Sports Club, Pottuvil and Power Boys Sports Club, Pottuvil teams.

Pottuvil Power Boys SC team batting first scored 56 runs in their allocated 08 overs for loss of 9 wickets. Rock Challengers SC team in reply scored 57 runs for the loss of five wickets in 7 overs.

Sajeer of Rock Challengers SC team was adjudged the Man of the Match and Akram of Power Boys SC was adjudged Man of the Series. Winners were awarded Trophy and Rs.25,000.00 cash prize and the Power Boys Sports Club was awarded cash prize and a trophy too.

Al-Izzath SC President and former Pottuvil Pradeshiya Sabha Member N.H.Munas, Al-Izzath SC Secretary A.M.Manazir, Business Magnates M.S.M.Uwais and A.R.M.Sarjun and sports officials of the region were present at the award ceremony.
