Praba Udawatte – a fine all-round Women’s cricketer

She started her cricket career in 2000 under the coaching of Samantha Dickkumbura at the Kandy Malwatte SC Grounds. Praba toured India under the Captaincy of Chamari Polgampola in 2003 and she performed well as an all-rounder claiming 12 wickets for 110 runs.

Her highest score was 42 and her best bowling was three for 33 against the Senior Team at Chennai, India.

Later, she joined Marians CC and won the Sri Lanka Cap in 2004 and she was selected for the World Cup held in Pretoria, South Africa.

She started coaching as a Level One coach at Sri Lanka Cricket in 2010 and at present she is running a private cricket coaching academy.
