UNP Chairman and MP Vajira Abeywardena said that President Ranil Wickremesinghe is the leader who got the country out of the crisis.

He is the only leader in the country who accepted the challenge in the face of unprecedented economic crisis.

“President Ranil Wickremesinghe has peformed a meritorious deed by rescuing millions of people from starving due to economic crisis in the country”, he said

Abeywardena said that President Wickremesinghe told him in 2020 that the country would be in danger if the economic policies of country were changed.
