Prince of Wales, De Mazenod in Under 17 Div. 1 Cricket final
Prince of Wales College Moratuwa will meet De Mazenod College Kandana in the final of the Under 17 division One inter schools cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and sponsored by Sri Lanka Cricket at ACE Capital stadium on Sunday (20).
76 teams participated in the league based into 14 groups in the first round. Prince of Wales College Moratuwa advanced to the second round as the runner up of their group in the first round. De Mazenod College Kandana advanced to the second round as the group champion in the first round.

Prince of Wales College Moratuwa beat Ananda College Colombo in the second round and De Mazenod College Kandana beat St. Thomas College Matale in the second round.
Prince of Wales College Moratuwa beat St. Benedict’s College Kotahena and De Mazenod College Kandana beat Royal College Colombo in the pre quarter finals.
Prince of Wales Moratuwa beat Maliyadeva College Kurunegala and De Mazenod College Kandana beat St. Servatius College Matara in the quarter finals.
Prince of Wales College Moratuwa beat Trinity College Kandy, defending joint champion De Mazenod College Kandana beat St. Sebastian’s College Moratuwa in the semi finals.
Prince of Wales College Moratuwa will be led by Prince Fernando and Janith Karindra will lead De Mazenod College Kandana.
