Principal accused of assaulting school watcher

The 27 year old night watchman at Lalith Athulathmudali Maha Vidyalaya in Mount Lavinia, who was allegedly beaten by the principal, has been hospitalized in a critical condition.

His mother has told the police that when she called her son the Principal had answered the phone and had told her he had been hospitalised.

Later when the mother visited the hospital she had found her son with serious injuries. He had told his mother that the principal under the influence of liquor had assaulted him and pushed him down the stairs.Doctors have said that the watcher has serious injuries and it is suspected that he will not even be able to walk.
