Prisons allow visitors twice a week

The Department of Prisons has decided to allow the guests to visit prison inmates two days a week since this week.
Guests had been barred from visiting inmates during the lockdown period and it was resumed on October 4 allowing the guests to visit inmates only once a week.
The department had also issued particular guidelines for this period to visit inmates.
Meanwhile, the department informs that the relief given to the inmates to obtain food and sanitary items from the prison cafeteria required for a period of one week will be continued.
