Private hospital worker who stole ten eye lenses arrested

A operating theatre worker of a private hospital of Colombo was arrested due   to stealing 10 eye lenses worth Rs.369,000 by the Kompanna Vidiya police last Tuesday (23). The suspect is a 42 year old resident of Dehiwala, Waidya Road.

Kompanna Vidiya police said the suspect sold the eye lenses he stole to several pharmacies and police went to find the lenses according to the information received by the suspect. The complaint was made regarding this by a duty officer of the hospital, and according to the complaint the theft took place on last Sunday (21).
