Probe into PC assaulting Sergeant in Kiriella

The Ratnapura Assistant Superintendent of Police has commenced an investigation to arrest a constable who assaulted a sergeant during a party held at a hotel in Kiriella   with the participation of a group of police officers. The attack had taken place on March 31.

A senior police officer said the sergeant who was attacked by the constable is being treated at the Ratnapura hospital.

Both these officers are attached to the Kiriella Police Station.
