Probe into Rs.4 Mn theft at Horana textile shop
The Horana Police has commenced an investigation into the theft of ready-made clothes worth Rs.4 million by breaking into a ready-made clothes shop located at Ilimba Junction in Horana on the Panadura-Ratnapura Road.
According to the Horana Police, the theft had taken place between 9 p.m. on May 24 and 7.30 a.m. on Thursday.
Police said that the robbers had broken the front window of the clothes shop and stolen a large number of ready-made clothes and various types of clothes packed in boxes.
Horana Police further said that no arrests have been made so far in connection with the theft. Police said that investigations are underway to arrest the suspects by checking security camera footage.
