He is a vastly experienced player who represented CR & FC, CH and FC, Police Sports Club, Air Force Sports Club and had the distinction of representing the Sri Lanka national fifteen a side team on many occasions . At present Radeesha represents Navy Sports club in the domestic inter-club rugby season.
Speaking to Daily News Radeesha said “Because of my beloved school Vidyartha College, sports background was the main reason why I entered the world of sports.
“My father, mother, sister and wife are my biggest fans also not forgetting my good friend and brother in law Charith Seneviratne (wife’s elder brother) – who is also a great rugby player who represented Air Force
Sports Club as well as Sri Lanka national side; all of them always support me no matter what”.
“Also I used to watch rugby matches since I was small and I played for my school since I was very young, which made me to love this game of rugby”. “Throughout my entire life always my family has been everything and that will remain as my first priority”.
“ The decision by my club (CR & FC) head coach Samoan Tevita Tulagaese ‘Laga’ to change me from my original position of scrum half to flanker against the formidable Kandy Sports Club in the all-important rugby match at Longden Place, will always be in my memory right throughout my life as one of the most unforgettable incidents to date”.
“During my leisure time I love travelling and watching movies. My favourite holiday destination is Meemure jungle in Udu Dumbara, Kandy and the favourite movie is Lord of the ring”.
“Getting married so young is my biggest accomplishment so far. Honestly speaking to date, I really cherish that moment. The best compliment I have received was from my wife after each rugby game which really motivates me to improve myself and do well in rugby, which has given me so much in life”.
