Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Under-15 Team Championships:

Rahula College, Matara, defeated St. Anthony’s College, Kandy, to clinch the Super ‘A’ Division Boys title, while Musaeus College Colombo emerged Super ’A’ division girls champions beating Lyceum International School Wattala at the Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Under-15 Team Championships held in Galle Richmond College Indoor Stadium, newly build Dadella Indoor Stadium and Engineering Faculty Courts in Hapugala over the weekend. The tournament was organised by SrI Lanka Schools Badminton Association (SLSBA) in collaboration with Sri Lanka Badminton (SLB).Sujatha Balika Matara and Lyceum International Wattla won the Group ‘A’ champions respectively.

A total of 103 school teams took part in the Championships which was held under five groups for boys and girls. Earlier, Division ‘A’ boy’s and girls’ titles were won by Lyceum International School, Wattala and Sujatha Balika Vidyalaya, Matara, respectively. This was a good opportunity for the young shuttlers to show their performances.

St. John’s College, Nugegoda, and Lyceum International School, Panadura won the Boys and Girls Division ‘B’ titles respectively, while St. Aloysius College, Galle and Sumedha College, Gampaha won the honours in Division ‘C’. Lalith Athulathmudali M.V. Mt. Lavinia clinched the Boys Division ‘D’, while Ananda Shastralaya, Kotte and Viharamahadevi B.V. Badulla won the Division ‘E’ titles.
